This Rainbow Mountain 2 Day is a short hike that will take you to the intact Ausangate region. You will camp at great heights, so close to the darkness of night and the clear stars, feeling that you can even touch them. Enjoy trekking through beautiful pampas, with beautiful alpacas and llamas walking along two lakes until you reach Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountains)

ITINERARY

Day1: Cusco – Queshuno – Ananta

We will pick you up at your hotel at 04:00am and drive for about 3 hours to qesoyuno where we have our breakfats prepared by our profesional chef,then We are going to pack our belongings  go over the itinerary. We are going to start our high altitude exploration in the morning passing stone houses, lush pampas and hundreds of llamas and alpacas. Our destination to get pucacocha high pass from where we have spectacular view of ausanagate gracier. After enjoying the glacier we come down to our campsite and have delicious lunch. As the sun sets down our staff set up the dining tent with chairs for you to relax and enjoy  the views, while dinner is being prepared by our cheff . This night you are going to observe memorable night sky full of southern constellations.

Day2: Ananta –Rainbow Mountain – Red Valley - Cusco

Today is the most important day which you have been waiting for. you will enjoy this amazing Rainbow Mountain and the beautifull scenary of the Red Valley. We are going to wake you up at 04:45am with coca tea, and have a super breakfast for your first climb to ananta pass 5150m (16,8963feet).then go down to the circle lake and walk along two lakes more until to get Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountains) .once you get it you can take all the picture as you can, enjoy the colorful mountains around you. it truly is a spectacular place. Then you will walk for 30 minutes more to visit the Red Valley, we are going to have time to enjoy this spectacular place. Finally we will walk down for two hours to enjoy our last delicious lunch before getting back to Cusco (3 hours and half). We will get back to cusco around 6pm.

Cusco is made of breathtaking landscapes, not only has mountains; it also has culture, history, Inca ruins, and much more. Since a year ago the Rainbo Mountain has become too popularfor many people, and of course find a mountain that has many colors is expected its popularity so fast, but this mountain or rather this place does not stop surprising, recently arrived To discover the "Red Valley".

The Red Valley is just a few minutes walk from the Rainbow Mountain - Vinicunca and what better you can than visit this beautiful place in 1 day only. It is beautiful for everything you have from the moment of your walk. Because of the altitude in which this place is located it is advisable to take warm clothes, since Cusco, because of its very changing climate, does not guarantee anything.

What is the itinerary with Mamacoca Expeditions?

The itinerary that gives you Mamacoca Expeditions is the following:

• Day Hike: We will pick you up between 04:00 am . – 04:30 hrs. Then drive through the South Valley. around 3 ½ hours to get to Kayrawiri community (4,326 m / 14,189 ft.), here we are going to start with the trekking up of 3 hours approx. long to the rainbow mountain (most of the way is going up). In the way up we are going to be able to enjoy amazing landscapes, alpacas, llamas, Ausangate Mountain, many red mountains and traditional local houses. When we finally reach our trek the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft.), you will have time to explore the area and take pictures. We will spend approximately 30 minutes. After the amazing view of the landscapes on the top we are going to down to the Red Valley Where you can see large and spectacular red mountains and also many llamas and alpacas and you will be amazed by nature,  that take  2:30 hours approx. (Japura community) where we are going to have lunch. Then you are going to be drive to Cusco, and drop your hotel.
